"Spiritual Protection" - שמירה .

The Sefer Shinuyim "The book of changes", teaches the importance of "Spiritual Protection" שמירה "Shmira" of ones soul. When a person understands that ones mind and thoughts control the flow of energy of life and every interaction that occurs in a persons life in the physical and spiritual world is controlled by each persons mind, thoughts and soul, it is therefore imperative we understand the spiritual laws of "protection" in order to protect ourselves both physically and spiritually.

Understanding that when a person is 100% protected spiritually, then a person is automatically protected physically, as all energies both positive and negative START with the THOUGHTS in ones mind. Everything that happens to us in our lives is allowed to happen by the thoughts we produce in our mind, by changing and controlling ones thoughts, this enables and changes everything that happens in ones life ones.

Learning how to eliminate all freeloaders, evil people and draining situations from ones life and how to protect ones soul from any interaction with evil people by learning to protect ones mind and thoughts, understanding that once a person has succeeded spiritually in ones mind and thoughts, then physically the "freeloader nuisance" will dissappear. Understanding that "mind battles", are simply someone elses desires and thoughts having a power over your thoughts and forcing you to make actions, once a person learns to protect ones mind and thoughts it becomes easy to "win mind battles".

1. Understanding and identifying the difference between the 2 types of people in this world:-

The "DEAD" and "ALIVE".

As we explained on the page "Spiritual Guidance", there are 2 types of people in this world:-

The Honest & The Deceitful

The first and most wonderful category is the HONEST group, which basically means when you are nice to them they are nice in return , when you are horrible to them they are horrible in return . When you ask them a question, you are given the honest answer in return. The intrinsic goodness of this group, will always make you feel alive and happy. When you hear something good has happend to anyone of this group, you too - feel the happiness. Conversely when something bad happends you feel their sorrow and pain. The honest group person, will always find ways to be nice and compliment, saying nice constructive words, looking for the goodness in people, and they will always exude, radiate love and happiness, even in the face of adversity . They will always find ways to create loving energy and NEVER "steal" energy from others by hateful, negative or destructive thoughts, words or actions.

The other group of people in this world are the DECEITFUL (liars) people, which basically means when you are nice to them they are horrible in return , when you are horrible to them they are nice in return . When you ask them a question, you are given lies and deceit in return. The intrinsic deceit and twistedness of this group, will always make you feel drained and sad.

These 2 groups of people, have the inate qualities of either being positively energising OR depressingly draining. When you meet a person, if they make you feel alive and energise you, this is indicative they are ALIVE, if however a person makes you feel "drained" and depressed then this is indicative they are DEAD. Similarly, every place and action a person performs either makes them feel alive, as they are doing something creatively purposeful with love, or makes them feel tired, drained and depressed, which is indicative that they are doing something destructive or hateful, the opposite to the purpose of life.

Defining and categorising everything into "life" and "death", is intrinsically vital so that we can remain energised with the good life-giving creative energy of GOD which is LOVE.

Who is "Alive" & Who is "Dead" ?

"Good souls when they die are in fact alive"

"Bad souls when they are alive are in fact dead"

The Talmud Sanhedrin פרק חלק , explains that the Righteous and good people when they are physically dead are in fact alive, ( צדיקים במיתתם קרויים חיים ), whilst the wicked people when they seem to be alive are in fact dead, ( רשעים בחייהם קרויים מתים ).

In this spiritual understanding, this explains that there are indeed really draining "freeloaders" and horrible people in this world, who are so full of hatred, death & destruction, who simply steal energy from good people by intimidation, bullying and violence, "Transference" or even by sexual arousal/teasing which steals energy in the same destructive way from a persons soul spiritually, as the sexual arousal causes people to act, as logical "common sense" would tell them not to act, but sexual arousal "makes a person" do things they would not do, if they were thinking with their mind instead of the "animalistic" physical body !

These people and places that drain a person, are in fact "DEAD", they may look as though they are alive, but in the eyes of GOD and spirit world, they are DEAD. Whenever one has a "bad feeling" about someone or somewhere, this is indicative that one is Sensitive and ones soul is indicating a DEAD energy, so KEEP away !

Conversely when a person has good energising feelings, these are indicative of LIFE energy. Learn to analyse honestly how one feels about everyone and everything, then contemplate what people, places and actions make a person feel ALIVE. Almost everyone loves to see flowers, trees, green countryside, fruit trees and the purity of "Nature" created by sunlight, fresh air, water and GOD !

What is the meaning of "DEAD" souls ?

The concept of "DEAD" souls is expanded on in "Sefer Shinuyim"- the Book of Change, and we shall explain this soon on a separate page linked here. In brief, as explained in 5 levels of the soul page by Reb Chaim Vital, the concept that every object even a stone has a soul, so even the "dead" person has a soul, it simply is a "dark" soul, with no "life" energy. Having no energy of LOVE, this "dead" and "dark" soul feeds its soul with energy by stealing from good people and from creating hatred, fear, jealousy and negative emotions, hence it is considered by the enlightened and spiritual world to be "dead".

2. Learning how to have physical and spiritual closure from the draining freeloaders and "dead" energies, thereby only connecting with love and "life" energies.

By categorising everyone and everything in ones life to either LIFE or DEATH. This registers on ones mind to only connect with LIFE, after all what type of ungrateful stupid person would "commit suicide" ?

In the same way, if a person regards every destructive act of "waste" as an act of DEATH, then a person automatically will RUN AWAY from death and such destructive acts. This is human instinct of survival, however as complex individuals with a mind more intricate than a computer, our mind needs to receive our instructions to be CLOSED to acts of death, by our "self-definitions" to each act, event and person in our lives. (i use the term "self-definitions", as a connection of life for you maybe a connection of death for someone else, as its your desitiny and not their destiny).

Define every act :-

Is it an act LIFE or DEATH?

Does it make you feel ALIVE and energised

or DEAD, drained and depressed ?

Once defined by YOU and ONLY YOU, then it becomes easy to have Closure, as we know that this small "key" of spiritual knowledge has the power to change a persons life, in just knowing that connections with the wrong people in ones life can block, drain and cause death spiritually and ultimately physically.

Start with ones thoughts, define everything into LIFE and DEATH, as human survival will always connect with LIFE, which once invoked will reflect in ones actions. This will automatically motivate a person into actions of LIFE, which in turn will unblock ones stagnated "dead" life, as one has disconnected from all the DEAD energies in ones life. The more disconnections one makes from DEAD activities the more energised and ALIVE one will feel.

3. Understanding how to "block" other peoples negative thoughts against you, and how to be so closed that one actually "bounces back" their negative thoughts and words against you to themselves like a "mirror".

Whilst a person is changing and disconnecting from the draining "freeloaders" that have been taking advantage of and abusing ones life, one may feel "attacked" by them, either by their words or negative thoughts, therefore it is imperative that one learns how to protect ones soul from such people.

The reason these "freeloaders" feel threatened by your action of "Closure" is that they feel the withdrawal of energy from their lives. They have continually been using a pattern of taking good from you and giving you nothing in return, and now that they feel you "closing" off to them, they feel resentful, hateful, bitter and will try even more destructive tactics to steal energy from you.

Firstly we need to understand the interaction of good people with the "DEAD" type of bad person. The fundamental principle is that they are full of opposites, when you are GOOD to a bad person, they are horrible in return. Therefore, conversely applies, when you are BAD to a BAD person, they respect you and are GOOD to you in return !

This is learnt from the greatest of spiritual leaders like Moses, and Joseph, whose brothers sold him as a slave, and from King David who had to run away and hide amongst the philistines as King Saul and the jewish army wanted to kill him, as he spoke the truth.

"Why do you repay me with bad for the good i have done?"

It is simply a spiritual fact of life that bad people treat good people badly !

"Being CLOSED"

Creates a Spiritual Protective Shield which acts as a "Mirror" to reflect their badness back to them !

By having closure from such deceitful and "twisted" people, automatically the cycle of you giving them "life" energy for them to destroy into death energy, will STOP ! When one is 100% closed to them, then they will not be able to interact with you or your soul.

The first thing that happens is they accuse you of all the things that is wrong with them, as you are closed, your soul acts like a protective shield, and they MIRROR back to themselves exactly what they are ! This is always the case especially in our modern day society of "divorces", where the good side is often falsely accused by the rotten side.

The best advice in such divorces or relationship break-ups is to be 100% closed and DONT interact with such a person, when a good person is 100% CLOSED and refuses to even comment on false allegations then the rotten person will actually accuse the good of everything that they themselves have done wrong ! As spiritually they are mirroring themselves! To such a degree that they are so full of hatred and destruction, that they end up self-destroying their own lives, hence block and can never find LOVE, LIFE or the Spiritual way of life with the energy, peace of mind and blessings of GOD.

Simply get rid of such DEAD and deceitful people out of ones life, and look forward to new life with good kind loving and honest people in ones life. This is simply part of the pathway of life, to learn from the bad in order to disconnect with them, and only connect with the good.

4. Learning how to use the power of prayer to ask and receive protection from ones guardian angels.

As we explained above, everything is classified as either life or death, the connection a person has spiritually to the energy of life - GOD - is life-giving. As we explained fully on the "Guardian Angels" page, the stronger our connection with our "Guardian Angels" and with Divine Spiritual energy, the more energised and ALIVE our soul will feel. When a person realises that ones prayers and being listened to, this gives a person the power of confidence in prayer.

Simply PRAY and ask for protection

& Light a Candle

Spiritually, praying whilst lighting a candle has tremendous spiritual energy. Each person will have their own feeling as they light a candle, as one lights a candle whilst praying, the Guardian Angels feel ones desire for a need for protection and guidance. The reassuring feelings one gets at the moment of prayer, makes a person certain that spiritually one will be guided and protected. Whenever you feel the need for some extra special spiritual help or for "thanks" for help that has been given, or even to pray for the future, for a world of peace, love and spiritual growth - light a candle ! Understanding the principle "צדיקים כשהם מתים נקראים חיים" - "Good souls when they die are in fact alive", and understanding the concept of Guardian Angels that accompany a person always, this is the reason why visiting the graves of good people is actually energising and life giving, as this connects a person spiritually to the soul of the righteous person, and their continued life giving energy is wanting to help, guide and protect with a LIFE GIVING energy.

According to jewish tradition, when the final transition of a person soul from this physical world into spiritual world at death has occured, the soul needs prayers of protection. The power of our prayers is so great that we light candles and say prayers from the moment of death until the person is buried, this is known as שמירה "Shmira" - "protection".

Reading and repeating the Psalm 121 3 times, is known as the prayer for "protection" שמירה "Shmira".

5. Learning how to always remain connected with life energy, even when one is in bad company of spiritually "dead" people or in deadly draining places.

With the spiritual understanding, that everything that exists in our lives, starts as a THOUGHT in our mind and soul. It is therefore 100% VITAL to our protection that we keep our mind "awake", avoiding the "grey sickness" - that "half alive-half dead" feeling as discussed on the Motivation page. By staying mentally alert and controlling ones thoughts, one actually can develope the strength of mind power to be open and closed to anything and everything.

The strength of an individual is always judged on the strength of the mind, thoughts and ability to stay FOCUSED on ones objectives and goals.

Prepare ones mind and thoughts with good energising images

Before any venture is undertaken in life, the success is always predetermined by the good preparations and planning. Similarly, before a person does anything, one needs to prepare ones mind and thoughts properly.

Firstly be determined to be "closed" to any dead or draining energies, ( remember from the Closure page the best way to be 100% closed spiritually is to have a clenched fist, it always works, from Palmistry page we have learnt that the power of ones soul is reflected in the energy of ones hand. Being aware that ones hands have such a strength and power, be careful where you place your hands and keep them pure and clean ! This is the reason why the best communicators and public speakers always use their hands to strengthen the power of their spoken words.

Secondly focus in ones mind ones life objectives and aims, thirdly and MOST importantly, keep 3 images of life energy in ones mind.

Prepare your mind, by having at the forefront of your mind, 3 good images that YOU can focus on, that always bring YOU life energy, they can be of beautiful places you have visited, the image of someone you love, or a lovely experience you had been lucky to have had in your life. As explained on the "happiness" page, everyone has at least 8 exceedingly happy moments in their lives at least one every 7 years, these are "gifts" in order to help everyone have an energised life. By focusing on these moments and images of happiness with laughter, excitement and good energy, a person will radiate an energy of happiness and aliveness.

Conversely, have you ever noticed that "losers", sad and depressed people, always seem to think and talk about depressing subjects. If a person thinks death and is depressed then their life will continue to be death and depressed. When a person thinks and focuses on LIFE and HAPPINESS , then a person will attract LIFE and happiness.

Feeling ALIVE even amongst the "DEAD"

When a person holds these happy images of LIFE, LOVE and creative constructive experiences in ones mind, and one is 100% closed to any negativity, then even amongst DEAD and depressed people, one will feel alive. As one is not interacting with their energies and is living connected with LIFE energy in ones mind. When ones mind and thoughts are connected with LIFE - one has LIFE .

The wiser a person becomes in life, one realises the power of ones mind which creates a world of inner peace love and happiness, that then influences the physical world, whereas ignorant people in younger years allow the outside world to affect the state of their mind. They are too open to negatively draining influences ! By learning control of ones mind and thoughts, one has received the "key of life" to inner peace of mind.

6. Understanding the concept that this physical world is a challenge to a good persons soul.

In this physical world it seems that this physical world is a challenge to a good persons soul, as "bad" people, liars and cheats seem to succeed, honest and good people seem to be "cheated", taken advantage of and abused.

Anyone who has lived and seen many people, will tell you that the "bad" people never succeed in the long term, they look as though they have success in the short term, but they NEVER ever have the peace of mind, love and compassion, the good sincere character that comes with true kindness and a comapssionate spiritual way of life.

As we all know many "wealthy" people who have a selfish materialistic life and yet they have no quality of life, being on medications for nerves and heart conditions ! They have family troubles caused by materialistic greed and jealousies.

It is remarkable that NO ONE is really jealous of a financially poor man or woman who is wise, compassionate and spiritually loving person ! How topsy-turvy our culture has become ! As true wealth and happiness should be measured by the strength of ones good character and spiritual wealth within ones mind and soul ! ( as we explain on the Money page, this is a blessing that people cannot see the spiritual wealth as they would really try and steal this true wealth !)

This world will always seem to be a challenge to the good, and some things in life will seem to be "unfair" and yet everything that happens is for the good and has a perfect reason ! The Good will always prevail and succeed in the end !

7. "Physical" versus "Spiritual"

This page on "protection" has emphasised that ones thoughts and mind controls everything that occurs in ones life. By learning closure thereby eliminates all freeloaders, evil people and draining situations from ones life. Then categorising everything into LIFE or DEATH starts the thought process to protect ones soul from any interaction with evil people by learning to protect ones mind and thoughts from "death" and negative people and negative emotions, then physically the "freeloader nuisances" dissappear.

Once a person understands that there is a continual "mind battle" occuring to gain control over ones mind and thoughts, one becomes more determined to win - this is the battle of "Physical" versus "Spiritual".

Most people who "dont think" for themselves, being easily brainwashed and living a life like aimlessly wandering sheep, are simply living with someone elses desires and thoughts, who have a power and control over their thoughts to channel one to make actions.

Like the famous "pavlov dog" experiments, where the scientist got the dogs to act when he gave them a sign, like people who watch TV at certain times, when the TV companies put the programs on, to prevent people using the evenings after work, usefully and productively, instead they create a false addiction to get people to sit down and watch TV - what a waste of a life !

Once a person learns to understand the inherent power within ones mind and thoughts, it becomes easy to "win mind battles" as one is ON GUARD to protect the most precious gift we have all been blessed with by GOD - our mind, thoughts and soul !

The Secret "Key" of "Protection"

This "key" to protection is YOU ! Your control over your mind and thoughts. Whoever manages to place the images that affect your emotional responses in your mind, has the influence over your mind and soul.

If YOU are the one in control, and you are able to be CLOSED to negative influences then you have the power to PROTECT yourself with the power of prayer, guardian angels and the spiritual strength of your soul.

If one gives away the power to allow other people and influences have control over your actions, then you are "throwing" away your life energy and opportunities for success, and losing so much life energy by Transference.

This exercise of "taking" control of ones mind takes time, but the first step is to recognise these spiritual facts of life, then one can succeed with ones life, instead of listening or being "brainwashed" by the TV, media, and other "deadly" destructive and hateful people such as religious fanatic groups !

The sign for you to know who is good or not is, ANYONE who is hateful and destructive CANNOT be loving, compassionate and spiritual ! Use the power of your mind and soul to think positive, loving and constructive thoughts of life. Focus of the happy events of ones life, learn to smile and THANK GOD for the gift of life.
