Meaning of "GilGulim" גילגולים
גל עיני ואביטה נפלאות מתורתך "Unveil My Eyes that I may See the Wonders of the Torah" Psalms 119 verse 18 The Hebrew word Gilgulim גילגולים means Reincarnation; it derives its meaning from the hebrew word GAL גל which means to reveal or unhide; the doubling up of the word גלגל implies in the word Gilgulim Reincarnations that we need to unveil and reveal the hidden meanings of life in this physical world, in spiritual world and from a previous lifetime. The hebrew word Gilgulim גילגולים means Reincarnation and is used as the hebrew word for a cycle, wheel and airwaves. All of which are implied from the spiritual meaning of Gilgulim Reincarnation; as a cycle of life and death, wheel of fortune in life and the spiritual energy in airwaves that are totally invisible to ones eyes and yet airwaves can be heard but not tangibly seen. The Spiritual Meaning of the ג ל ג ו ל The hebrew word גלגול means cycle, according to Sefer Shinuyim the word Gilgul for reincarnation has a deeper spiritual meaning; as all hebrew words are known to be encoded, they have a numerical value or gematria. The numerical gematria of גלגול is 72, this is the exact same number as the gematria for "kindness - Hesed - חסד" :-ג 3 גמטריא גלגול = 72 גמטריא חסד = 72 Kindness Sefer Shinuyim explains that this teaches that it is a DIVINE KINDNESS to our souls that we are given the opportunity to reincarnate in order to rectify our past-life mistakes.
